Miracle Restaurant Group Dunkin' Donuts sponsored the 15th annual Miracle
Ride to benefit Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. The Miracle
Ride attracted over 9000 motorcycle riders, who staged a fundraising ride
from Riley to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where they got to do a lap on
the world-famous speedway track.
Led by MRG's Dave Hoover, Mike Thompson, Jody Ashley and Manager Derek
Smith, the Dunkin' Donuts team stayed up all night hand-finishing 3000
donuts for sale at the event. Team members Melinda Bailey, Nikki Sullivan,
and Andrew Farries were also on hand (and in costume) entertaining the crowd
and serving the customers. All proceeds from the sale of donuts, coffee and
t-shirts were donated to The Riley Foundation, in keeping with the MRG
corporate value of 'sharing the blessing of hospitality with our guests and
employees, and giving back to communities we serve.'
"The event was a terrific success for us, but more so for the sick kids at
Riley, because we and the bikers raised a lot of money to help Riley take
care of them", said Hoover. "Having people up all night making donuts pales
in comparison to what these kids and their families are working through.
We're happy we could do it."
Way to go, Dave Hoover and the Dunkin' Team in Indy!!!!!
